eQuest: There are many, many evidences which indicate that faith in the Bible is a reasonable faith, not a dumb or blind faith. But what you mention is not one of those evidences. Some people make things up to support the Bible, claiming to have found all sorts of things, but they always have an excuse when it comes to producing the actual stuff they claim to have found. We need to ‘prove all things, hold fast to that which is true’—the Bible itself encourages us to be skeptical, to test things. All the great scientists of the past were Bible-believing creationists – like Sir Isaac Newton. eQuest: Whether they believe the Bible or not, no reputable scholar believes that. The Bible consists of 66 books written over a very long period of time – no one person could have written it. These books are consistent with each other in developing the plan and purpose of God through the ages—from the creation of all things to the consummation of all things, when those who believe in God, who have asked him for forgiveness of sin through his sacrifice on the Cross, dying in their place, can live with Him for all eternity. They will be resurrected, like Jesus Himself was. That is one of the strongest facts of history, with many eyewitnesses.

But what if the Bible didnt mention what would happen to them(Christians) on judgement day, do you think they would still believe? I mean i wonder if they're afraid to dye so they believe in this book so they can have enternal life.

eQuest: Maybe, but I know of people who were not originally afraid to die, but came to believe in God’s good news because they became convinced it is true. I have a penfriend who lives in Australia who was an atheist, and came to see evidence that there is a supernatural world, that can’t be explained through physics and chemistry and so on. He could see that there was a demonic realm, and that the prayers of his Christian family were affecting directly what was happening. Bottom line – we live in an incredible world, that either made itself (evolution) or was made (created). If you can believe that the amazingly complex things that exist just happened, over millions of years, well you have more blind faith than I do. If people try to bluff you with scientific sounding arguments trying to show that evolution happened (which really helps them run away from God) then you need to check out that creationontheweb.com site I mentioned before. The Bible itself tells us we should be prepared to give reasons for what we believe, and there are plenty. By the way, if things were made, then that means people, too. We can love, communicate, feel, think – it makes sense that we were created by a loving, thinking, feeling and communicating God. So it also makes sense that He would try to tell us what it’s all about, why He made us, and what He wants us to do. And the Bible is all about that.

eQuest: It helps to read the Bible, not just to have some vague idea of what it says. You may be talking about Revelation 19:11, where it says: “I saw heaven standing open and there before me was a white horse, whose rider is called Faithful and True. With justice he judges and makes war.” Nothing about a chariot, though. The man who wrote Revelation is the apostle John, one of Jesus’ special friends, you should read the first book he wrote, the gospel of John. Revelation is John’s description of what John saw in a vision, and it has special meanings. Notice how he says “I saw…” in his vision.

My preacher told us that animals have no soul so they shall not be in heaven, but the white horse and the charoit, i mean how do you explain that?

eQuest: We don’t know if there will be horses in heaven, and in any case the Bible talks about a recreated heaven and earth, like a newly made earth without sin. Nothing will die there – and maybe He’ll make animals, including horses, again. But that doesn’t mean your preacher is wrong in the sense that you can’t assume that your favorite dog or horse will be resurrected. god is a man that confuses me, why would he take such a gracefull animal away from us?

eQuest: God is not a man, He is spirit. The Bible says that “God is not a man that He should lie”. Numbers 23:19 When Jesus came to Earth, He already existed for all eternity. Revelation 21:6 He became a person like us for a while.

if horses arent in heaven than honestly i dont want to go, horses are my life.

eQuest: God’s not out there trying to bribe you to go to heaven. I’m not going to kid you and say you’ll have your favourite TV show there or whatever. You like horses, someone else might say “I’m not going to heaven unless I can ride my Harley” or whatever. Really, isn’t that just another example of how all of us are only tuned into ‘me, me, me” all the time? That’s part of the problem with all of us, we want to do our own thing, not God’s thing. Now don’t get me wrong, horses are very, very special to me too. But compared to the wonders and glories that God promises…. As I said, I don’t know if there are horses there, but I do know that we won’t be unhappy – the opposite in fact. God promises that. But also, there won’t be any second chance. And when many are separated from God for all eternity, I can guarantee there won’t be anyone preferring hell to heaven just because there are no horses or Harleys or whatever. Scripture tells us that God will wipe the tears from our eyes and there will no longer be any sorrow. Revelation 21:4

Ive tryed to find out if they will be in heaven but the only awnser i get is no.

eQuest: I don’t think anyone can say that for sure. But if they are there, they will have been recreated, it won’t mean that they have a soul in the same sense that people do.

eQuest: But if you did end up believing in God and trusting Him to forgive your sins and give you eternal life just because you think there might be what you want in heaven, that’s not a really good reason for believing. You need to believe that it’s true, to understand that all of us are born sinful and come to the point where you realize that what we all need is God’s mercy, or we’ve had it. Not just in this life, but particularly the next. Not because we’re afraid to die, but because God is real, Jesus is real, and so is hell, Satan and the rest of it. Please start reading God’s word with a whole new approach, Kayla – one where you’re not looking to please yourself only, but trying to find out the truth.

Hi- I'm delighted to know the website has been useful to you! Be sure to check back within the Summer as I have quite a bit of new material underway to be added to the site.

I know about those horse books being misleading. Keep seeking and proclaiming the Lord and His Truth. There will always be disbelief and naysayers, but Truth exists beyond everything because of Christ. As the old adage has it, "You can lead a horse to water, but you can't make him drink." We as Christian Creationists just need to "Salt the Oats!"

I had read and reread all that stuff in all my horse books until I thought it would make me well, get sick. Re horse chestnuts, an acquaintance tells me that far from being useless, they are vital and show great ingenuity and aforethought. She said that while in utero the foal’s legs are joined by this cartilage “knee to knee”. This reduces internal damage to the mother while the foal grows and especially during delivery.

I have not been able to verify this in utero function from an authoritative source, and would be very interested if anyone can provide confirmation.

Thank you for writing! Do you know that the Chestnut really marvels so many?!

No one can say for sure what Chestnuts are designed for--regardless of education, doctine or world view.

Despite the ignorance of man on this topic, God DID create the chestnuts for a purpose--a purpose which science cannot and has not answered. Though I cannot answer you to satisfaction, I can provide you with some links and articles and quotes that make good attempts at answering the question.

This is under the section on skin

"The epidermis is modified to form horn-like growths called chestnuts and ergots.

Chestnuts are located on the front legs above the knees and on the back legs below the hocks. Contrary to popular belief, they do not represent the vestiges of missing digits. "

The layer below the epidermis is the dermis which they say "gives rise to the sweat glands, sebaceous glands and hair follicles." Maybe this is why the chestnuts SMELL!

Horseman's Veterinary Encyclopedia by Equine Research, 2005, pg. 169

"What are Chestnuts?"

'These are masses of horn-like tissue on the inside of the forearm slightly above the knee. Because no two chestnuts are exactly alike, they may sometimes be used as "fingerprints." Some racetracks were considering the use of the shape of the chestnuts as positive identification for horses so that a "substitute" horse cannot be tattooed and represented as another horse. However, with the advent of DNA identification techniques, this has been abandoned."

Truly, this is a mystery that no one really knows the answer to--except The Creator God. The Ergot is another supposed vestigial organ, however, in studying my Farrier textbook, The Principles of Horseshoeing II: an Illustrated Textbook of Farrier Science and Craftsmanship, (Doug Butler, PhD., 1985, Doug Butler Publisher, p. 100,), there is a ergot ligament that is extremely superficial (surface) and therefore, likely causes the horny formation where it connects.
